Dripping Springs United Methodist Church in Dripping Springs, TX is in search of an accompanist for our worship services & programs.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
These will be weekly / regularly-scheduled responsibilities.

Sunday morning worship (including, but not limited to…)

• Congregational Hymns
• Preludes & Postludes
• Offertories & Communion Music
• Doxology
• Special Music (i.e. choir or soloist accompaniment)

Weekly rehearsals:

• Wednesday evening choir rehearsals

Additional Responsibilities:

These may be infrequent or annual requirements outside of normally-scheduled rehearsals or
performances, and will be considerate of schedule availability inasmuch as possible.

Cantata performances (Easter and Christmas)

• Often includes a separately-scheduled dress rehearsal

Required Skills

• Ability to play and perform the piano in a worship setting
• Ability to program your own music (i.e. preludes, postludes, offertories and communion music)
• Ability to sight-read music proficiently
• Ability to take direction and collaborate effectively with the music director
• Ability to make last-minute or “on-the- fly” adjustments as needed during worship or
• performance settings

Salary dependent on experience
