Administrative Assistant
St John’s UMC is seeking a personable individual to fill the position of permanent part-time Administrative Assistant.
Job Summary – as an integral member of the church staff team, the administrative assistant will have primary responsibility in several areas:
- Hours will be from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Reports to Pastor or Chair SPRC
- Receiving people during office hours (visitors and telephone contact)
- Coordinating the bookings for church facilities
- Supporting the pastor and the chairpersons of committees as requested
Skills Required -
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Word perfect or processing (familiarity with Microsoft Word)
- Computer skills (including e-mail proficiency)
- Operating knowledge of office equipment, (i.e. Xerox copier, fax machine etc.)
Salary
- Starting salary will be $13.00 per hour based on a 20 hour week with flexible work times
- Pay increases will be commensurate with experience and skill level
- Exempt Employee
