Facilities Technician
Bulverde United Methodist Church, in San Antonio, is seeking a Facilities Technician.
This position will be 15-20 hours per week and will be the person who coordinates the maintenance and cleanliness of the facilities with the Facilities Manager, ensuring that the campus stays neat, orderly and in good repair.
*Ensure all facilities including restrooms and kitchen(ettes) have adequate paper supplies.
*Maintain paper product supplies and report any needs to Facilities Manager.
*Light to medium facilities maintenance. Must be able to do minor repairs/handyman work as needed and must have some experience and knowledge of processes, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
*Maintain organization in maintenance closets ensuring that professional cleaning crew has adequate paper and hand washing/sanitizing supplies.
*Ensure building entrances and the outside of campus looks neat and clean in between yard service visits.
*Correct unsafe conditions and report any needs for repairs requiring professional services to Facilities Manager, i.e. plumber, electrician, HVAC, etc.
*Table and chair set ups as instructed.
*Must be able to use cleaning equipment such as wet and dry vacuum cleaners, floor buffer, shampooer, hand tools, blower. Other equipment as needed for maintaining the cleanliness of the facilities.
*Position will require physical agility in bending, stooping, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
*Must have or be willing to obtain (at church expense) a Class D Water License in order to maintain our public water system (well).
*Maintain cleanliness of all areas of campus between cleaning service days of Monday and Thursday. *Supplement cleaning services scope of work.
*Occasionally may be required to come in on off hours or days as emergencies arise.
*Must be able to pass a background check.
