Here are some mission trip opportunities we know about:

Mississippi Delta — Project Grace needs volunteers for roofing projects now. Contact Rev. Veronica Pritchard at deltagrace@deltaland.net or 662-466-2167.

Haiti — Mar 20-28, Jun 19-28, Jul 31-Aug 9. $1,700 per person. Open seats for team members to teach English classes at an orphanage and build a family home. Contact Paula Hedrick,  pheidrick119@gmail.com.

Brazil — Apr 2-12. $3,200. La Conference medical mission needs professionals and non-professionals for a dental and medical mission boat trip on the Amazon. Team Leader Beverly Dinnel, 985-320-2393, missionbev@gmail.com.

Mexico — Apr 15-19. $350. Very few seats left for a medical mission to three tiny villages in the mountains of northern Mexico. Short and cheap; good way to get your feet wet for foreign mission trips. Contact Angie Bacon, FUMC Johnson City TX, at 830-868-7414.

Tanzania — Apr 26-May 4. $3,500. Exploratory trip to see what opportunities there may be for working through a pair of UMC missionaries there. Good chance to establish a connection for your church. Contact UMVIM Executive Director Paulette West, team leader, at paulette_west@umvim.org.

Honduras — May 10-18 and beyond. Carolina Honduras Health Foundation needs health professionals of all kinds for team trips to their clinic on the Caribbean coast. Contact KenHook@CHHF.org.

Guatemala — May 22-30. $1,350. Saraland (Ala) UMC trip to Casa Alleluia, an orphanage near Guatemala City, for light repairs and interaction with the children. Contact Rev Mike Hopkins, mike@saralandumc.org.

Belize — June 13-21. $1,800. South Carolina team has vacant slots for construction mission building a high school. No skills needed. Contact Alice Vander Linden at ahend942@aol.com.

Scotland and Salt Lake City — July & October; not on the same trip, of course. Primetimers will go on these GBGM trips for less-strenuous duties with standard UMVIM teams. Information on GBGM website’s Primetimers’ page. Contact primetimers@umcmission.org.

Alabama Rural Ministries — Seeking college students for summer staff coordinating home repairs or running kids’ day camps. $1,700 scholarship.
