Rio Texas Conference to Help Wesley Community Center
We are preparing for an historic event. The first ever meeting of the RioTexas Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. Not many will ever get to experience the very first meeting of an annual conference. This year, to mark such an important conference, as we leave Corpus Christi, we want to leave something behind.
We want to make an impact on our host community.
The Wesley Community Center is dedicated to aiding those less fortunate. Established in the hearts of Corpus Christi and Robstown, they have ministered to the underprivileged for over 70 years. Both locations provide food, childcare, clothing, and other types of much needed assistance.
Their newest endeavor in Corpus Christi is The Mother & Child Home. The Mother & Child Home is committed to providing a living environment that promotes accountability and stability while nurturing, fostering, and educating mothers with young children experiencing homelessness.
As the new Rio Texas Annual Conference, let’s help the Wesley Community Center help others. As you travel to Corpus Christi, bring along some items from the wish lists for Wesley Community Center and The Mother and Child Home.
Collection centers will be located on the floor of Annual Conference and in the lobby of the American Bank Center.
