Associate Director of Children's Ministries

Chapelwood United Methodist Church in Houston TX.(www.chapelwood.org), a generous flagship church in the Texas Annual Conference, is looking for a dedicated and passionate full-time Associate Director of Children’s Ministries who will be responsible for leading and expanding children’s programming for 3rd - 5th graders on the main campus of Chapelwood. The church’s mission for children is to reach and inspire children on the path to discipleship in addition to building commitment and trust with parents, training and equipping volunteers, and guiding the implementation of a Spirit-led vision serving children. As Chapelwood moves strategically forward alongside Ministry Architects, this Associate Director will be a part of an enthusiastic program team that includes the Pastor of Family Discipleship, an active Children’s Ministry Core Team, a Director of Children’s Ministry, assistant age-level directors, interns, and a volunteer base working to lead the church’s children’s ministries and missions.

The successful candidate will have a college degree, 2-3 years of experience in children’s ministry leadership (preferably in a large congregation), and a strong personal faith consistent with the Methodist tradition.
